I run the prairie path all year round. When I start the best place for parking is at spring road which is approx .8 miles west or York road. It is old downtown Elmhurst. If the parking lot next to the path is full, you can park on the side streets or in the parking lot next to Doc Ryan's bar. There is a gazebo where the Elmhurst running club meets on the weekend CARA training circuit. The crossroads are s spring road and prairie path lane. From almost anywhere go to route 83 and W St. Charles Road. Go East. Go east on St. Charles until you hit S Spring Road (if you get to York Rd. you went too far). There is a running track on the south side of the street. Turn South (right). Go through old downtown Elmhurst until you see the prairie path. Turn right for parking lot #1. If full go the the parking lot by the bike shop. 3rd alternate parking is down the side streets. Do not park at the White Hen!
